TAN PECK CHEONG Graduated from University of New South Wales, Australia in 1996, Peck Cheong worked as a landscape architect and project manager in the National Parks Board for 3.5 years before joining Tierra Design, Singapore in 2000. Peck Cheong has a distinct flair for design conceptualizing and seeing the big-picture. His strong awareness of proportions, astute sensitivity and an eye for grasping quickly the essence of a scheme, results in landscape design that is comprehensive and yet simple. As a senior landscape architect and Managing Director in Tierra, Peck Cheong led a design team for landscape design of Changi Airport Terminal 3, Singapore Embassy in Beijing, Singapore Consulate Office, Shanghai, and Banyan Tree Lijiang, China. The team also designed several residential condominiums and houses in Singapore, UAE and around south-east asia. Banyan Tree Lijiang was awarded a Silver Award in the SILA professional design award competition. Peck Cheong taught in the Master of Landscape Architecture, NUS, program in 2008 (part-time). |
CH’NG TUAN WEE Tuan Wee graduated from Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow University (UK) with a Graduate Diploma in Architecture in 1998. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) in NUS in 1995, after which she worked in architectural firms for year-out for a year. Tuan Wee worked in the architecture industry before joining Tierra Design, Singapore in 2000. Tuan Wee developed a keen love for horticulture and landscaping early on. With her acute sense of design and detailing, and with architecture training background, she has the skills and consciousness to create landscape designs with richness, sensitivity and thorough attention to detail, in both soft and hard landscape. As senior landscape architect and Associate Director in Tierra, Tuan Wee designed and managed numerous residential, commercial and institutional projects. Condominiums include The Trumps, Leonie Studio, East Palm, The Tresor, and Cornwall Gardens. Her work also includes Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium and Orchard Turn (Ion). Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium was awarded a commendation award in the SILA professional design award competition.
