The landscape of Hillsta is inspired from the peaceful environment of Japanese spa stations in forested hills. The central landscape axis is set up as a series of cascading gardens, reminiscent of a water spring flowing through a forest. A stepping river flows down the terraced ground terrain and cascades gently into a swimming pool at the end. Along the river are two spa pavilions, which house outdoor spas and 'onsen'. Textured shrubs and young forest trees envelope the river on the banks. Stone walls and green walls address changes in levels between buildings. Clean-lined walls are contrasted with rich rockery and lush planting form,visual focus along the walls. CLIENT FAR EAST ORGANIZATION PTE LTD
